Job Description
The purpose of the Regional Finance Partner is:
To plan and control the sourcing and use of the company’s finances to ensure the successful delivery of the strategic objectives of the shareholders.
To support the Managing Director in the day to day business activities in the region.
To provide efficient, effective and flexible financial support services to all ME region Business units and activities.
To ensure regular accurate reporting of the financial position of the ME Region Business units.
To ensure the optimal use and rational management of the organization's financial, technical and human resources.
To ensure that the financial regulations and ethical principles of the Organization are observed.
Liaise & co-ordinate with local authorities, PRO’s and Sponsors to ensure compliance with regional legal and regulatory requirements
To ensure that the financial regulations, ethical principles and regulatory frameworks of the Organization and the local regulatory authorities are observed.
Key Accountabilities:
Supervises the day to day financial activities including assisting and liaising with Group finance function in preparation of month end accounts, tax returns, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, audits and year end statutory accounts
Day to day local accounting
Collaborate with local administration and finance team to ensure agreed deliverable are met particularly through month end, year end and annual budgeting processes
Regional banking and Debtor management
Responsible for the preparation of financial plans, forecasts and projections.
Works with various business units to help them plan, manage and deliver their own budgets.
Responsible for setting and checking targets and monitoring the performance of each unit within the business in line with their set budgets.
Implements and maintains all financial controls and systems within the local business units, identifying and recommending potential operational efficiencies and improvements to working practices and procedures in all aspects of the business.
Collaborate with Group Finance to implement & control all financial aspects of company strategy, to analyse figures and implement agreed recommendations.
Assist in maintaining strong relationships with financial advisors, institutions and other stakeholders.
Other responsibilities of the Regional Financial Controller include tax and financial regulatory compliance, payroll, insurance policies and cover and the management of working capital.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience
Relevant industry Experience
Advanced Excel Skills – very important
Financial modelling and analysis experience
Excellent I.T. knowledge
Job costing experience
First class communication skills
Overall responsibility for accounts preparation in a medium sized organisation
Organisational skills
Highly numerate & analytical
Ability to manage diverse stakeholders in a challenging environment
