Job Description
Implement a series of projects to transform BAC's Procurement Processes and Practices, realizing both efficiency and service improvements to ensure the best mix, format and value for money of contracts for all service contracts to support confidential Airport Modernization Program.
The Main Duties Will Include:
Review the Construction Bid submission package and all other Service packages to understand the legal commitments that contractors have in relation to both Defect Liability Period and Repairs and Maintenance.
Review any contracts which have Repairs and Maintenance Options included for BAC to exercise if required e.g. ICT.
Work with BAC's FM and ICT dept's on Insourcing / Outsourcing Decisions and contract set up, in line with their Functional strategies.
Direct and Manage the Supplier Pre-Qualification process for all AMP suppliers.
Coordinate with the BAC CEO, Chief Development & Technical, BAC Legal and AMP Project
Director to determine and agree the best forms of contract.
Work with BAC's Financial Planning Dept. to budget all AMP Service contracts.
Coordinate with BAC's Asset Integration, FM, ICT & Finance Assets Department on Service Contract Set up and support of Assets.
Oversee the Transition of all existing Service contracts for existing assets to new assets and ensure any scope split contracts are also managed.
Work with FM Asset Integration Manager to determine spare parts required for each package.
Work with Warehouse Inventory Specialist and FM Managers to determine Service Level agreements for each part and the Min, Max and Re-order levels.
Work with Warehouse Manager to determine BAC's new Warehousing needs for AMP.
Work with consultants to Design, Build and Implement a new BAC Contract Management Pre Contract and Post Contract Process based on the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply best practice.
Responsibility to examine existing buying practices, both Purchase Orders and Contracts to identify changes to the process that will make the buying process more efficient for BAC.
Required Competencies / Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Finance or Business.
CIPS or other Procurement / Supply Chain qualifications preferred.
5 plus years of relevant contract and procurement experience.
5+ years of business experience.
