Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for developing and implementing a strategy that leads to increased customer value creation and market share gain in the Asia Pacific region.
Responsible for creating and executing annual operating plans that lead to step changing organic growth, margin expansion, and significant free cash flow generation.
Profit and loss responsibility for managing operations to meet the 5 year strategic plan, annual operating plans, and quarterly financial commitments.
Responsible for driving tactical execution and driving rigorous business processes across the region by working with local SDG commercial leads.
Leadership in measuring and improving results through a metrics-driven, continuous improvement culture.
Responsible for hiring, developing, and leading senior functional and operational management to deliver plan results.
Advocate for the customer, for product quality and compliance and for providing excellence in customer solutions.
Spokesperson and champion for the group, divisions and corporate decision-making.
Critical contributor to the overall direction of development of the Asia Pacific region for SDG as part of the executive team.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
10-15 years of relevant experience in managing business functions with minimum of 4-6 years of P&L general management experience.
Technical or Science background or education (B.S., M.S.) with MBA or equivalent business experience.
Strong financial and operations knowledge with proven ability to drive margin expansion and operational improvement.
Experience in the review and compliance of government.
Ability to develop creative growth strategies and guide successful execution, including acquisition integration.
Strong communications, team-building, and leadership skills and track record for developing high performance teams.
Management style and values that fit Thermo Fisher Scientific’s values of Intensity, Innovation, Integrity and Involvement.
Ability to manage effectively in a matrix environment and display credibility in mentoring and forging solid, positive working relationships with business unit team, and corporate

leadership team.
Self motivated with bias for action.
Up to 50% travel.

Preferred Qualifications
International experience strongly preferred
Proven record of successfully selling and marketing into the Asia Pacific region.
