Oversees the development, implementation and maintenance of compensation and benefit policies and programs, which support company objectives and local practices.
Maintains a working knowledge of government legislation influencing compensation and benefits.
Ensures programs are current with regard to trends, practices and costs. Provides HR and leadership with ongoing consultation, and develops processes and tools which facilitate the administration of effective, equitable and compliant programs.
Develops global corporate and/or organizational policies, and holds the direct authority to authorize their implementation
Provides direction to executives and global leaders for any question regarding compensation and benefits
Fills the role of trusted advisor for senior executives of the Company
Guidance is relied upon to assess possible challenges and evaluate Total Rewards strategies globally

Provides strategy and direction for global compensation and benefits areas
Makes final decisions on operational and strategic matters, and ensures operations’
effective achievement of objectives
Expert knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements
Expert knowledge of principles and practices of benefits and compensation programs,
with an expert knowledge of a specialty area
Expert knowledge of HRIS, PC software and spreadsheet applications
Expert statistical analysis skills

Capable of influencing at the executive level
Typically18+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Typically requires 10+ years diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization and people motivation skill (or equivalent experience)
