The incumbent shall be a market oriented leader who can provide Strategic & Operational leadership in expanding the business portfolio of the BU (“Cloud and Datacenter Business Unit”) into the APAC market.
Accountable for the overall P&L of the BU, the incumbent is required to DRIVE business development; BUILD business & individual capability competency; SUSTAINING cost-effectiveness in customer deliverables; and maximize PROFITABILITY.
The incumbent will also be a trusted advisor for senior leadership in key decision-making process involving strategic investment, resources planning, diversification and strategic partnerships; he will also be involved in the mentoring and coaching of key talents to develop second line leadership.
Key responsibilities inclusive but not limited to:
Overall P&L accountability of the BU - responsible for the planning and execution of short term business development opportunities and long term roadmap for growth initiatives;
Ensuring the development of the core business competencies is market driven; and the development of center of excellence is driven by individual capability competency, targeting key operational individuals with high competence in profitability, operational excellence, innovation and business intelligence;
Drive services costing methodology, actively involving in large bids to approve operation cost recovery and profit margins, standardize core services as part of pricing strategy;
Oversee the NSI and NPI Roadmaps – provide high level guidance for identifying key markets, customer base based on market intelligence;
Work with sales counterparts to derive optimum balance between competitiveness & profitability thereby enhancing winning culture & collaboration between BD and delivery for overall success;
Target to grow Datacenter and Cloud business 1.x times market rate to acquire market share.
Enable services delivery organization with appropriate services capabilities and skill sets internally and externally – to ensure seamless delivery for services;
Responsible for communication with senior leadership on overall business profitability, operational investments, Profit / Loss analysis, growth and corrective actions to improve overall cash flow and operational efficiency;
Participate and collaborate with key stakeholders in deriving the Annual Operating Plan as per vision and goals of ST; communicate and delegate responsibilities across various cross-functional teams to ensure support and success of the plan;
Accountable for the setting up and running of project management office to oversee key transformational projects, drive innovation and improve efficiency among key processes, aiming to reduce delivery lead times and internal decision making; conduct periodic reviews of key transformational initiatives thereby driving change.
Engineering or business related degree
MBA would be highly desirable
At least 10 years in IT industry
At least 5 years in senior management position
Good knowledge of the support operations for service provider
Good analytical skills
