The Tempur business is the premium brand in the bedding industry. Experiencing double digit growth across the APAC region, this is an exciting time to join. APAC has been identified as a growth market for the global brand and the Regional Marketing Director position is viewed as a critical role to ensure success in this region. Tempur are relocating their head office from Singapore to Melbourne and are therefore looking for a proven retail consumer marketer that can join the business to drive sales.
The Regional Marketing Director, reports directly into the Regional President of APAC, and is an autonomous Marketing role. My client is looking for a senior marketing professional who has proven experience at a similar level. Tempur is a global brand, as the voice for the APAC market, the post holder will have an excellent understanding of the customer needs and will work in parallel to counterparts across the globe.
As an end to end marketing role, the Regional Marketing Director has full P&L accountability. This role is required to continuously improve marketing effectiveness across the region. You will be required to drive effectiveness across all marketing channels and is accountable for; the marketing cycle, media, trade marketing, advocacy, product development, in-store and ecommerce channels.
Working closely with the manufacturers in Denmark, this role requires previous experience in product development. Liaising with the manufactures, this role will identify and communicate gap analysis, developing new innovations and products for the region.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will be a proven marketing expert in Retail or Consumer Marketing, someone who has a strong track record in direct to consumer marketing in stores and ecommerce.
Prior marketing experience within Asian markets is essential
Proven marketing success for a premium brand
Strong commercial acumen and P&L management
Ability to work in an end to end marketing role, across the full marketing mix
Proven success in e-commerce and instore marketing
Experience in managing agency relationships
Understanding of product development
Culturally aware, with strong interpersonal skills, adaptable
Strong ability to influence and challenge/support colleagues at equal levels
Excited to travel internationally on a regular basis.
