Our client, a major oil & gas service provider are looking for a VP of Business Improvement to join their team based in Dubai. This is a hugely exciting opportunity for someone with a strong manufacturing and operations background.
Specifically around business improvement, you will continuously evolve the BI strategy for the company’s business unit and own the business improvement strategy document. You will work closely with the company sites in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, and with the Supply Chain and Operations VP to drive our operational excellence programme with a focus on quality, LEAN and a global BMS. You will work closely with the sites to ensure robust compliance with regulatory and ISO certification approvals but more so, influence a culture of behaviours across the business that deliver against our strategy. You will continuously work with all the functions to identify and prioritise opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, profitability and customer experience.
Key Accountabilities (includes, but not limited to the following)
Develop, evolve and maintain (own) the Business Improvement strategy document
Develop, in partnership with the leadership team, the BI KPI’s and report out monthly performance v’s KPIs
Be a leading promotor of company’s behaviours and ethics within the business.
Develop, prioritise and implement future opportunities and or projects for improvement initiatives
Engage with the other BI VP’s in the group for sharing of ideas, initiatives and actions
Provide support, mentoring and advice to the QHSE teams at each site in relation to ISO accreditations, BMS system and Operational Excellence in general
Actively participate and contribute within the Business Unit Senior Management Team
Ensure the company’s business unit are seen in the industry as differentiated regards to a quality product and service, delivered on time and in budget and a supplier that the industry regards as “Operational Excellence leaders” and want to partner with
A visible champion and driver for Operational Excellence
Strong global leadership experience, particularly in the Middle East and Asian sub-continent
Proven strategical planning and out of the box thinking
Mechanical background and or manufacturing exposure with operational experience
Excellent communicator and an enthusiastic, flexible self-starter
Strong influencer and leader of people, a clear track record in managing people at all levels, and of coaching, mentoring and team working. Previous experience of managing a remote team
Experience of either quality programs, LEAN or operational excellence
Green belt certified
