Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management/ Project Management Certificate
Technical competencies required: High-end knowledge in computer applications/ Microsoft office applications/ Project Management software
Previous experiences required: 2 years of experience in handling pre-opening services / Experience in the GCC market is preferable/ Presently an EAM in a Luxury hotel
Language required: Spoken and Written skills in English and Arabic (preferred)
Personality traits: Strong leader/ Decision maker/ Innovative/ Creative/ Good Interpersonal Skills/ Willing to win/ Excellent negotiator/ Curious
Other skills/requirements: Project Management/ Knowledge in hotel operations/ Flexible in travelling / This position will be groomed to become a General Manager in 12-18 months
Support the General Managers and their teams in opening the properties
Set effective systems and controls to ensure a smooth pre-opening and followed by successful operations
Manage the planning of pre-opening activities and to mitigate all challenges
Along with the team, create the Pre-Opening plans and budgets of the hotel
Actively participate in the hiring of the General Managers and Ex-coms along with the Executive Vice President
Manage the OS&E process from the conception to the selection, along with the Executive Vice President and the field specialists.
Further develop the Shaza and Mysk OS&E standards
To be the custodian of the Shaza Brand Icons by ensuring their roll out plans are successfully implemented in our hotels and that the original concepts are preserved:
1. Shaza Hammam & Spa- along with MSPA
2. Kids’ Club
Create new operational concepts and guest experiences that fit Shaza Hotels and Mysk values, target market and hotel locations in order to set the brand apart
Along with the Executive Vice President, create bespoke hotel concept and F&B concept briefs
Conduct yearly concepts audits in newly open hotels Collaborates with all local and overseas customers, make personal calls to accounts and traces potential customers.
Select and deploy all Guest Interface technologies along with the Director of IT (SESA)
Manage all business alliances
Work within all pre-set budgetary limits.
Comply with all Shaza company policies.
